Our story

Like most, we started out as complete strangers; one of us from a little rural town and the other from one of the most populated counties in Virginia. Somehow, some way, on a random Sunday in 2019, we bumped into each other picking up our apartment keys for college, not knowing that moment would change our lives forever. And now, almost 7 years later, we’re tying the dang knot!

Many of you know how much work, growth, and love we have put in to get to where we are now. We are so grateful to each and every one of you for being a part of our great, big love story. We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone! See you on May 16, 2027?

Flying in?

Charlottesville–Albemarle Airport (CHO) is about 20 minutes from the farm. Richmond (RIC) is roughly 1.5 hours and Washington Dulles (IAD) about 2 hours, both with more flight options. A rental car is the easiest way to reach Free Union.

Please RSVP by April 2, 2027 so we can finalize catering and seating. Tap RSVP at the top or bottom of this page, search for your name, and respond right here — no other website or app needed.

We'd love to celebrate with everyone, but our venue limits us to the guests named on your invitation. Your invitation will say “and guest” if a plus-one is included.

Yes — kids are invited! Invited children are listed by name on your invitation.

Garden party — suits, floral dresses, midi dresses, or seasonal pieces. The ceremony is outdoors on grass, so consider block heels or flats. Evenings in the mountains can be cool; a light layer is a good idea.

Yes — free parking on site at Tiffin Farm. If you plan to enjoy the bar, consider a designated driver or rideshare back to Charlottesville.

The ceremony will move under cover in the barn — same schedule, same address.

We're having an unplugged ceremony — please keep phones tucked away until after the ceremony. We will share photos with everyone, but would love your candids from the reception!

In true Casey and Melanie fashion, we will be having a pizza bar for dinner. Both vegetarian and meat options will be offered. If you have specific dietary restrictions, please list them under the RSVP tab.
